Cantina Santa Maria la Palma – a story of farm workers who had nothing but land and an idea. After the agrarian reform of 1946, they received land between the Gulf of Alghero and the Bay of Ponte Conte. In 1959, 100 of them joined together to form a cooperative. Today, the winery combines modern technology with ancient traditions across 700 hectares. The Vermentino "Aragosta" has become a flagship of Sardinian white wines – good quality at attractive prices. What began in 1959 with 100 farm workers and a plot of land is today one of Sardinia's most renowned cooperatives. Following the agrarian reform of 1946, the founders received land between the Gulf of Alghero and the Bay of Ponte Conte – a coastal landscape that continues to shape the wines' character: salty sea breezes, mineral-rich soils, and intense sunlight.

Today, Cantina Santa Maria la Palma cultivates classic Sardinian grape varieties on approximately 700 hectares. The Vermentino "Aragosta" is the most renowned result of this work – fresh, aromatic, with the typical bitter almond note on the finish that characterizes a good Vermentino. In addition, they produce Cannonau and other red wines that reflect the depth of the island.

The cooperative combines modern cellar technology with the knowledge of several generations. Not a single operation, but a community – this shapes the style: approachable, honest, with a clear connection to its origins.
