This evening, we'll take you on a delightful journey through the diverse terroirs of the Cape – from elegant, complex white wines to powerful wines with depth and character. Whether you're already a lover of South African wines or just discovering them for the first time, this evening combines enjoyment, knowledge, and the joy of discovery.
This is how the evening goes
The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. With each course, we will introduce you to the accompanying wines: their origin, the people behind the wineries, and the unique characteristics of each individual wine.
There will always be time for questions – whether about grape varieties, growing regions, or the ideal serving temperature. No prior knowledge is needed, just curiosity and a love of good wine.

How the Evening Works: The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. With each course, we'll introduce you to the accompanying wines: their origin, the people behind the wineries, and what makes each wine special. There will be plenty of time for questions – whether about grape varieties, growing regions, or the ideal serving temperature. No prior knowledge is necessary, just curiosity and a love of good wine. The Wines: This evening, we'll present characterful wines from South Africa. The wines being tasted are from Kanonkop, Boschendal, Vergelegen, La Motte, Buitenverwachting, Boekenhoutskloof, and Graham Beck, all represented by Vinoscout. The following wines will be served this evening: For the aperitif: Graham Beck Cap Classique Brut, Kadette Pinotage Rosé; Boschendal The Rosé Garden; Vergelegen Wild Winds Sauvignon Blanc; La Motte Sauvignon Blanc; Vergelegen The Mill Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot; Kanonkop Kadette Pinotage The Chocolate Block; Buitenverwachting Christine. Each of these wineries represents a unique style and tells its own personal story – shaped by terroir, tradition, and the passion of the people behind it. The Menu: The tasting is accompanied by a corresponding 4-course menu that complements the aromas of the wines and provides a culinary round-off to the experience. Light salad of chickpeas, avocado, bell peppers, and olives; Creamy carrot and bean soup with a delicate peanut note; South African bobotie – a spicy minced meat casserole with fragrant spiced rice; Traditional malva pudding. A vegetarian menu option is available upon request – simply let us know when booking. Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances in advance so that we can take them into account when planning.
