About the evening
Winemaker Matthias Gaul is one of the highly talented voices in the Palatinate wine scene. In the gentle hills around Grünstadt-Asselheim, expressive wines are created that harmonize tradition and modern winemaking – from lively, clear white wines to characterful red wines with depth and drinkability. His wines tell stories of lime-rich soils, precise manual labor, and a great stylistic range.
How the evening works
The entire evening will be moderated by Matthias Gaul personally. For each course, he will introduce you to the accompanying wines and provide insights into their origin, the special features of each individual wine, as well as his philosophy and working methods.
There will always be room for questions – whether about grape varieties, vinification, or Gaul's approach to combining traditional Palatinate viticulture with a contemporary style. You don't need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a love of enjoyment.

The tasting is accompanied by a corresponding 4-course menu that picks up on the characteristics of the wines and complements the enjoyment from a culinary perspective.
