Von Othegraven Riesling Kabinett Grosse Lage delicate fruity

A Riesling that carries the soul of the Saar in every bottle — the Von Othegraven Riesling Kabinett Grosse Lage feinfruchtig is made for everyone who wants to experience classic German wine culture at its finest.

The von Othegraven winery in Kanzem has been one of the most renowned wineries on the Saar since 2010. Under the management of Günther Jauch, the estate, steeped in tradition, has been consistently developed further. The "Grosse Lage" (Grand Cru) classification signifies grapes from the estate's best single vineyards, hand-harvested and vinified with the utmost care.

In the glass, this Kabinett reveals refreshing Riesling fruit , delicate notes of vineyard peach and ripe apples—all embedded in a floral, exceptionally elegant structure. The minerality typical of the Saar region lends the wine depth without compromising the Kabinett style's lightness. The interplay of sweetness and acidity is precisely balanced, inviting effortless enjoyment.

This Riesling pairs perfectly with:

  • Asian cuisine with a mild spiciness
  • Grilled fish or seafood
  • Goat cheese and fresh summer dishes
  • Or quite neat — as an aperitif on a warm evening

Whether as a gift for wine connoisseurs or as a personal treat: This wine is a strong argument for the quality of Saar Rieslings.

Maximilian von Othegraven – a winery with history. Founded in the early 16th century, it is romantically situated on the Saar, opposite the village of Kanzem, surrounded by a park with rare trees. In the family since 1805.

In 2010, Günther Jauch and Dorothea Sihler-Jauch took over the estate from their great-aunt. With an uncompromising commitment to quality, they led it to the top of German Riesling producers.

Right outside the door: the south-facing Kanzemer Altenberg – one of the truly great German Grand Crus. Mineral density, delicate fruity spice, vineyard peach, ripe apples. Floral, balanced, magnificent.
