Villa Santo Stefano Volo di Villa Toscana IGT

Villa Santo Stefano Volo di Villa Toscana IGT
Tuscany in a glass: The Volo di Villa from Villa Santo Stefano shows what the Toscana IGT can achieve — dark fruit, structure and southern warmth in an accessible setting.
Villa Santo Stefano is located in Tuscany, one of Italy's most traditional wine regions. The IGT status gives the winery the freedom to work outside of strict grape variety regulations and to develop its own distinctive style.
In the glass, it shines a deep ruby violet. The nose opens with blueberry and elderberry, along with a hint of tobacco and dark cherry. On the palate, firm but ripe tannins, medium acidity, and a lingering finish with a spicy note are evident.
- Dishes: Bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar salami, mature pecorino cheese or pasta with a rich ragù
- Serve at 16–18 °C
- Occasion: An uncomplicated evening wine that doesn't require long waiting times — drink now
Villa Santo Stefano – a place nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany where history, nature, and passion intertwine in a truly special way. Founded by Wolfgang Reitzle and Nina Ruge around the historic Villa Bertolli near Lucca, this boutique winery has been developing since 2001 with a clear vision: certified organic farming, deep roots in the terroir – and wines that truly have a story to tell.
Whether it's the characterful red wine Loto , the vibrant Vermentino Gioia , or the elegant Rosato Luna – each bottle reflects the essence of Tuscany in its purest form. And to complement it: a multi-award-winning organic olive oil with the Lucca DOP, which reveals in a single drop what this landscape has to offer.
