Villa Raiano Fiano di Avellino DOCG

Villa Raiano Fiano di Avellino DOCG
Fiano di Avellino is one of the most exciting white wines of southern Italy — and Villa Raiano shows why: herbaceous depth, firm acidity and a minerality reminiscent of volcanic tuff soil.
The Villa Raiano winery is located in Serino, in the heart of the Irpinia region of Campania. The Avellino area, surrounded by the foothills of the Apennines, is considered one of the few high-altitude regions in southern Italy where white wines develop true aging potential. The Fiano grape thrives here on mineral-rich soils of volcanic tuff and limestone—a characteristic that unmistakably shapes the wine's style.
In the glass, a pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, mint and sage, along with white peach and citrus peel. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with lively acidity, a delicate bitterness on the finish, and a lingering, slightly salty minerality—typical of the appellation and a reliable quality characteristic of Fiano di Avellino DOCG.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass, seafood pasta, zucchini blossoms, or mild goat cheese. Drinking window: now until 2027.
