Villa Raiano Bosco Satrano Fiano di Avellino DOCG

Villa Raiano Bosco Satrano Fiano di Avellino DOCG
A Fiano di Avellino from the single vineyard Bosco Satrano — and thus from one of the most ambitious white wine projects in Campania of the last two decades.
Villa Raiano is located in San Michele di Serino in the heart of the Irpinia region, at an altitude of over 500 meters. The Basso family has consistently focused the estate on the three major DOCG grape varieties of the region: Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico. The Bosco Satrano is a single-vineyard selection—the grapes come exclusively from this single vineyard, giving the wine more depth and character compared to the entry-level wine.
In the glass, it displays ripe pear and apricot, underpinned by acacia and hawthorn. With a little aeration, hazelnut and a hint of honey emerge—typical of mature Fiano from cool, high-altitude vineyards. The acidity is present but integrated; the finish is mineral with a slight bitterness.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C . Fiano di Avellino has aging potential—two to four years of cellaring develops additional complexity. Pairs well with grilled sea bass, pasta with bottarga, or a mature pecorino.
