Vieux Télégraphe Rouge HK

Vieux Télégraphe Rouge is one of the benchmark wines of the southern Rhône – a Châteauneuf-du-Pape that shows both power and finesse.

Vignobles Brunier has cultivated the La Crau plateau, one of the most sought-after terroirs in the appellation, for generations. The large, round galets roulants – those characteristic pebbles – store the warmth of Provence during the day and release it to the vine roots at night. The result: concentrated grapes with natural depth. The wine is predominantly Grenache, complemented by Mourvèdre and Syrah.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose offers ripe black cherries, blackberry, and garrigue – lavender, thyme, and a hint of leather. On the palate, dense but well-integrated tannins are supported by a lively acidity. The finish is long and spicy, with a mineral note reminiscent of heated stone.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2032. Best paired with braised lamb loin with olives, a Daube Provençale or aged Crottin de Chavignol.
