Vignobles Brunier Vieux Telegraphe Rouge

Vieux Télégraphe is one of the benchmark wines of the southern Rhône — a Châteauneuf-du-Pape that does not see power and elegance as opposites.

Vignobles Brunier has cultivated the famous La Crau vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for generations, named after the historic telegraph pole on the plateau. Large, round galets—the appellation's typical pebbles—store the warmth of the Provençal sun during the day and release it back to the vines at night. The Grenache blend typically comprises around 65%, complemented by Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault.

In the glass, the wine displays dark cherry, blackberry, and black olive, along with Provençal herbs—thyme and lavender—and a distinct minerality. The tannins are ripe and structured, while the acidity keeps the body vibrant. The finish is long and spicy, with hints of leather and tobacco.
