He uses only hand-picked Riesling grapes and carefully selected botanicals such as grapefruit, kumquat, and pink peppercorns, which are gently steeped and distilled using the pot still method to preserve their aromas. The spirit then has the privilege of maturing for four months in barriques that were previously used for over two years to age Johannisberg Alte Reben Riesling. To round out the flavor, Michael finally infuses it with Johannisberger Vogelsang Riesling Spätlese. The floral notes of the Riesling blend harmoniously with the spicy aromas of the macerated botanicals to create a perfectly balanced, crisp, fresh and pleasantly mild taste experience, which is best enjoyed neat and in peace and quiet or in a freshly mixed gin and tonic.
