Spiess Yellow Muscat Estate Wine Dry

Spiess Yellow Muscat Estate Wine Dry
Yellow Muscat is one of the most aromatic grape varieties in Germany — and Spiess' estate wine cuvée shows why: clear, direct, made for immediate drinking.
The Spiess winery is one of the most reliable producers of German Muscatel wine. Estate wine quality here doesn't mean compromise, but rather approachability: a wine that doesn't require patience, but seeks the moment.
On the nose, elderflower and a hint of fennel—typically varietal, fresh, and clean. On the palate, pineapple and mandarin emerge, accompanied by a lively, crisp acidity that keeps the wine light and direct. The finish is short and clean—nothing spectacular, but honest.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with light summer dishes: goat cheese salad, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or ceviche. Also a good choice as a simple aperitif—drink now, don't store.

Weingut Spiess in Bechtheim is known for its consistently high quality production. The brothers Christian and Johannes Spiess are quality fanatics. Rigorous yield restriction, conscientious care of the vineyards, gentle processing, traditional thinking, and state-of-the-art cellar technology produce full-bodied wines that are at the same time pure and digestible. Above all, it is important to the Spiess family to bring the wine into the bottle just as it comes from the vineyard. Which means that the foundation is already laid in nature and consistently good work must be done in the estate's wine plots.
