Spiess Riesling Estate Wine Dry

An uncomplicated Riesling from the Palatinate that delivers exactly what the region is known for: clear fruit, lively acidity and an easy-drinking character without detours.

The Spiess winery operates in the Palatinate, one of Germany's largest wine-growing regions, where Riesling grapes ripen on sandy loam and limestone soils, developing a particularly aromatic and approachable character. The estate wine represents the winery's entry-level style – straightforward and perfect for everyday enjoyment.

On the nose, ripe mirabelle plum and apricot, with a light hint of citrus. On the palate, refreshing with a delicate, creamy texture and lively effervescence; the acidity remains integrated and pleasant. The finish is short and clean – not a wine for analysis, but for drinking.

Serving suggestion: Serve chilled at 9–11 °C. Pairs well with tarte flambée, salads with goat cheese, grilled vegetables, or simply as an aperitif on a warm evening. Drink now – no aging required.

The Spiess winery in Bechtheim is renowned for its consistently high-quality wines. Brothers Burkhard and Jürgen Spiess are passionate about quality. Rigorous yield control, meticulous vineyard management, gentle processing, traditional methods, and state-of-the-art cellar technology result in full-bodied wines that are both pure and easy to drink. This dedication and passion for wine are rewarded year after year with numerous national and international awards. Above all, the Spiess family believes it's essential to bottle the wine exactly as it comes from the vineyard. This means that the foundation is laid in nature itself, requiring consistently excellent work in the estate's vineyard plots.
