Schmitges Spätburgunder Rosé semi-dry
A light salmon pink in the glass, light and direct — the Pinot Noir Rosé from the Schmitges winery is a wine for the moment, not for the shelf.
The Schmitges family has been cultivating steep slopes on the Middle Moselle for generations, where weathered Devonian slate gives the vines minerality and structure. This rosé also grows on these distinctive soils—this shapes the lively acidity and the elegant texture that make it so enjoyable to drink.
The glass reveals aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of white peach. "Off-dry" here means a subtle residual sweetness that supports the fruit notes without being heavy. The finish is fresh, light, and accompanied by a delicate minerality.
