Riesling Ried Auf der Henne Reserve Ingrid Groiss

Riesling Ried Auf der Henne Reserve Ingrid Groiss
A Riesling from the Lower Austrian Weinviertel region that shows what this often underestimated region can offer: clear fruit, lively acidity and a pronounced origin profile.
Ingrid Groiss cultivates her vineyards in the Weinviertel region with a focus on single-varietal, site-specific wines. The Ried Auf der Henne is a single vineyard whose soils impart the necessary minerality and vibrancy to the Riesling. The designation as a Reserve indicates extended aging—more depth and complexity than in the entry-level wine.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright golden yellow. The nose offers citrus zest, ripe peach, and a delicate stone fruit accent. On the palate, the acidity carries the wine without any harshness, and the finish is long and slightly mineral. Not an opulent, heavy style—rather, precise and straightforward.
Serving suggestion: Best served at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with pan-fried pike-perch with caper butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a tangy goat cheese. Drinking window: now until 2028.
