Riesling Ried Auf der Henne Reserve Ingrid Groiss

Ingrid Groiss manages her sites in the Weinviertel with a focus on varietal, site-typical wines. The Ried Auf der Henne is a single site whose soils give the Riesling the necessary minerality and tension. The aging as a Reserve indicates an extended ripening time — more depth, more complexity than in the base wine.

In the glass, the wine shows light golden yellow. On the nose, citrus zest, ripe peach, and a fine stone fruit accent. On the palate, the acidity carries the wine without sharpness, the finish is long and slightly mineral. Not an opulent, heavy style — rather precise and straightforward.

Serving recommendation: Good at 10–12 °C. Pairs with fried zander with caper butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a spicy goat cheese.
