Nero d'Avola Lamuri Sicilia DOC

Lamuri Nero d'Avola is made from a selection of Nero d'Avola grapes grown at high altitudes between 450 and 750 meters. Unlike other Sicilian red wines, it retains its fundamental aromas without ever becoming overripe. A carefully considered blend of oak barrels of varying ages imparts a soft and elegant tannin profile to the palate. Tasca d'Almerita puts a great deal of care into their work, and this is reflected in the wine's pleasant and smooth taste, reflecting their commitment to the specific soil from which the vines grow. Aged for approximately 12 months in 225-liter barrels made of French Allier and Tronçais oak, 20% of which are new and 80% second and third use. James Suckling: 92 points for the 2020 vintage.
