Markus Schneider Blanc de Blanc

Markus Schneider Blanc de Blanc
A Chardonnay from the Palatinate that shows what this sun-drenched region can do with one of the great white Burgundy varieties: straightforwardly dry, with clear fruit and the necessary drive to work well at the table.
Markus Schneider has made a name for himself in Ellerstadt, far beyond the Palatinate. The winery works with a focus on varietal character and precision — the wines are known for their accessibility without being generic. The Blanc de Blanc is a single-varietal Chardonnay, as the name promises.
In the glass, it shows typical Palatinate Chardonnay aromatics: ripe yellow apple, a hint of white peach, plus a light spicy note on the finish. The body is medium-weight, the acidity integrated and pleasantly fresh — not a heavyweight, but not a thin summer wine either.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Good to drink now, best with pasta in a cream sauce, grilled chicken, or a mild goat cheese. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated aperitif.
