Marina Cvetic Chardonnay Colline Teatine IGT
A Chardonnay that shows what Abruzzo is capable of: fully ripe fruit, creamy texture and an acid structure that holds everything together.
Masciarelli is one of the most influential wineries in Central Italy. Gianni Masciarelli was the first to consistently establish international grape varieties in Abruzzo – this Chardonnay bears the name of his wife, Marina Cvetic, and represents the estate's high standards. The vineyards of the Colline Teatine benefit from the interplay of two climatic forces: the Adriatic Sea brings freshness, while the Apennines ensure cool nights and slow ripening until full phenolic development.
In the glass, it displays aromas of lemon curd, guava, and ripe pears, underpinned by jasmine, vanilla, and a hint of clove. On the palate, it is dense and almost buttery, with tropical fruit and a texture reminiscent of Burgundian winemaking. The acidity is well-integrated and carries the finish without being harsh.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with lobster bisque, pasta with truffle cream sauce, or grilled sea bass with fennel. Also enjoyable as a standalone white wine in the evening – best enjoyed by 2027.
