The Gianni Masciarelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a straightforward, fresh red wine from one of the most traditional addresses in the Abruzzo region — vinified from grapes of the single vineyard "Cocciapazza" on clay and limestone soils, which give the wine its clear mineral base.

Masciarelli has been one of the defining wineries of the region for decades. Gianni Masciarelli, who built the winery in the 1980s, made the Abruzzo region internationally known — today his wife Marina Cvetic continues to run the house. The Gianni Masciarelli Montepulciano matures exclusively in steel tanks, which preserves the fruit intensity of the grape variety and keeps the wine lively.

It glows ruby red in the glass. The bouquet shows cherry and black currant, along with violets and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, it presents itself as fresh and balanced, with soft tannins and a clean, fruit-driven finish.

An uncomplicated companion for everyday life: drink it at 16–18 °C with pasta in tomato sauce, grilled lamb chops, or a spicy Pecorino from the Abruzzo region. It also pairs well with pizza or antipasti.
