Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC Superiore

The Villa Gemma Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC Superiore from Masciarelli is not an ordinary rosé wine – but a deep cherry-red, structured Cerasuolo that is a serious contender in the kitchen.

Masciarelli is one of the most important wineries in Abruzzo. The estate, based in San Martino sulla Marrucina, has been setting standards for the region for decades – from the steep slopes of the Abruzzo hills to its meticulous work in the cellar. The Villa Gemma line represents the estate's most ambitious wines.

In the glass, the Cerasuolo displays a bright cherry red color. The nose offers fresh Amarena cherry, cherry blossom, and a hint of citrus peel – complemented by a subtle rose petal note and spicy depth. On the palate, it is juicy, with lively acidity and a substance typical of Cerasuolo that clearly distinguishes it from lighter rosé wines. The finish is aromatic and lingering.
