Marina Cvetic Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva

Marina Cvetic Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva
This wine from Masciarelli has impressively demonstrated for years that Trebbiano d'Abruzzo can be considered one of Italy's great white Riserva wines. Not a light everyday wine—but a structured white wine with genuine aging potential.
The Masciarelli winery is one of the most prestigious names in Abruzzo. Founded by Gianni Masciarelli, it is now run by his wife , Marina Cvetic , after whom this line is named. The grapes grow on the Teatinian hills in the province of Chieti—calcareous soils, a continental climate with cool nights that preserve acidity and freshness. Aging in French oak barrels gives the wine texture and depth without masking the fruit.
A brilliant golden yellow in the glass. The nose offers ripe mirabelle plum, dried apricot, a hint of acacia honey, and subtle toasty aromas from oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a creamy texture, supported by lively acidity—not a heavy, heavy wine, but one with tension and a long, spicy finish. Drinking window: now until 2030.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with Saltimbocca alla Romana , roasted leg of lamb with herbs, mature Pecorino cheese, or a creamy risotto with white truffle.
