Marina Cvetic Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva

Marina Cvetic Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva
This wine from Masciarelli has been impressively proving for years that Trebbiano d'Abruzzo can count among Italy's great white Riserva wines. Not a light everyday wine — but a structured white wine with real aging potential.
The Masciarelli winery is one of the defining names of the Abruzzo. Founded by Gianni Masciarelli, it is now continued by his wife Marina Cvetic, after whom this line is named. The grapes grow on the Teatine hills in the province of Chieti — calcareous soils, continental climate with cool nights that preserve acidity and freshness. Aging in French oak barrels gives the wine texture and depth without masking the fruit.
In the glass, luminous golden yellow. On the nose, ripe mirabelle, dried apricot, a hint of acacia honey, and subtle roasted aromas from the wood aging. On the palate, full-bodied with a creamy texture, carried by lively acidity — not a heavy block, but a wine with tension and a long, spicy finish.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs with Saltimbocca alla Romana, fried leg of lamb with herbs, mature Pecorino, or a creamy risotto with white truffle.
