Icon Woven Sauvignon

Icon Woven Sauvignon
A Sauvignon Blanc that shows what Marlborough can do when taken seriously: structured, textured, with real depth instead of mere freshness.
Villa Maria is one of New Zealand's most famous wineries — founded in 1961 by George Fistonich in Auckland, today with vineyards in Hawke's Bay and Marlborough. The Icon Woven line represents the top shelf of the portfolio: single-varietal wines from selected sites, sustainably farmed and certified.
In the glass, the wine shows a ripe profile: dried lemon, mango, and a hint of peach sorbet. No green sharpness, no gooseberry youthfulness — instead, a medium-bodied weight with lively but integrated acidity. On the palate, plenty of volume, the finish is long and aromatic, with lingering fruit without sweetness.
- Food: Grilled sea bass, scallops with butter foam, goat cheese, or an Asian glass noodle salad with citrus dressing
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
