Heger Spätburgunder Rosé octave dry

Heger Spätburgunder Rosé octave dry
A dry rosé that clearly shows the Kaiserstuhl character: lively fruit, firm structure, not an ounce of heaviness.
The Dr. Heger winery in Ihringen am Kaiserstuhl is one of Germany's leading producers of Pinot Noir. Volcanic weathered soils with loess and basalt, plenty of sunshine, cool nights – this interplay creates wines with a distinct profile. At Heger, the Oktav brand represents an approachable entry point: fruit-forward, ready to drink, and uncompromising in its origin.
A bright salmon pink in the glass. On the nose, strawberry, rosehip, and a hint of red currant. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with lively acidity and a touch of sour cherry in the medium-long finish. No residual sugar to mask the fruit—the freshness comes from the grape variety itself.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Food options include: Quiche Lorraine, salmon tartare, grilled sea bream, or a summer charcuterie platter. Also delicious on its own on the sun terrace — chilled, without any fuss.

The Dr. Heger winery – a country doctor laid the foundation in 1935. Max Heger bought fallow plots on the Ihringer Winklerberg, his son Wolfgang continued the business in the 60s. Today, oenologist Joachim Heger manages the estate in the third generation – together with his wife Silvia. In addition to the Winklerberg, the property now also includes plots on the Achkarrer Schlossberg – both classified by the VDP as "Erste Lagen". On volcanic weathering soils with loess cover, wines with character, depth and fine minerality grow here. Baden top class that you can taste.
