Heger Weissburgunder sonett dry

Heger Weissburgunder sonett dry
A Pinot Blanc from the Kaiserstuhl region that combines freshness and substance in a lean package — clearly structured, with lively fruit and a dry finish.
Dr. Heger Winery is among the most renowned wineries in the Kaiserstuhl region, one of Germany's warmest wine-growing areas. The combination of volcanic weathered soil and long hours of sunshine creates a distinctively full-bodied white wine style – even in the entry-level segment.
On the nose, the Sonett displays bright Mirabelle plum, ripe pear, and a hint of citrus peel. On the palate, it is lively and direct: the acidity is present but integrated, and the mouthfeel remains lean and unobtrusive. The finish is dry and fresh, without any harshness.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with asparagus with herb vinaigrette, pan-fried pike-perch, or a light goat cheese. An uncomplicated companion for summer evenings — best enjoyed young.

Legal & trade information
The Dr. Heger winery – a country doctor laid the foundation in 1935. Max Heger bought fallow plots on the Ihringer Winklerberg, his son Wolfgang continued the business in the 60s. Today, oenologist Joachim Heger manages the estate in the third generation – together with his wife Silvia. In addition to the Winklerberg, the property now also includes plots on the Achkarrer Schlossberg – both classified by the VDP as "Erste Lagen". On volcanic weathering soils with loess cover, wines with character, depth and fine minerality grow here. Baden top class that you can taste.
