Heger Weissburgunder octave dry
The Pinot Blanc oktav from Weingut Dr. Heger is a lively white wine from the Kaiserstuhl – light-footed, aromatically precise, and with a freshness that makes it an uncomplicated companion for many occasions.
Weingut Dr. Heger is one of the most well-known addresses in the Kaiserstuhl in the Breisgau region. The family manages vineyards on the region's volcanic weathered soil – loess, clay, and foothills – and has been focusing on site-specific wines for decades. In the Heger range, oktav stands for accessible, uncomplicated enjoyment without compromising on expression.
In the glass, the Pinot Blanc shows aromas of young mirabelle plum, crisp pear, and citrus zest. The acidity is invigorating yet well-integrated – not a sharp cut, but a polished line that keeps the mouth fresh. The finish is dry and fruity at the same time, with a bright freshness in the finish.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese salad, grilled vegetables, pasta with pesto, or a summery fish dish. Also a good choice as an aperitif.

The Dr. Heger winery – a country doctor laid the foundation in 1935. Max Heger bought fallow plots on the Ihringer Winklerberg, his son Wolfgang continued the business in the 60s. Today, oenologist Joachim Heger manages the estate in the third generation – together with his wife Silvia. In addition to the Winklerberg, the property now also includes plots on the Achkarrer Schlossberg – both classified by the VDP as "Erste Lagen". On volcanic weathering soils with loess cover, wines with character, depth and fine minerality grow here. Baden top class that you can taste.
