Mutton All in White Grey Burgundy

Mutton All in White Grey Burgundy
A Pinot Gris that clearly shows its character: ripe fruit, a hint of spice and enough freshness to accompany everyday life.
Hammel & Cie winery is one of the traditional wineries of the Palatinate. Its location in the German wine-growing region, with its loamy and sandy soils, gives the Pinot Gris its typical richness combined with lively acidity.
In the glass, aromas of ripe pear and honeydew melon emerge, underpinned by subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied, with a mineral touch on the finish that makes the wine linger longer than one might expect from the first sip. Not a heavyweight—but certainly not a filler.
Recommendation: Best served at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with quiche Lorraine, creamy mushroom risotto, pan-fried salmon, or mild goat cheese. Also a solid choice as an accompaniment to Asian-spiced chicken.
