Hammel & Cie Literweise Cuvée Rosé dry 1.0L

Hammel & Cie Literweise Cuvée Rosé dry 1.0L
A rosé for everyday life that doesn't need big words – fresh, fruit-forward, and made in the practical liter bottle for sociable rounds.
Hammel & Cie is one of the traditional wineries of the Palatinate and has been growing on the fertile loess soil of the region for generations. The Literweise line is the honest answer to the daily wine need: artisanally solid, without effort, with a clear focus on drinking pleasure. For the Cuvée Rosé, red grape varieties from the Palatinate house stock come together – vinified for freshness, not for mass.
In the glass, a bright salmon pink shines. The nose opens with sour cherry, red currant, and a distinct hint of raspberry – all clearly contoured, without excessive sweetness. On the palate, the wine shows itself juicy and direct: lively acidity, light to medium body, no intrusive residual sweetness. The finish is clean and short, with a light pull of red fruits. Exactly what an uncomplicated summer rosé should be.
Drinking recommendation: Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. The liter bottle is the practical choice for barbecue evenings, picnics, and table rounds outdoors. Pairs with grilled vegetables, light pasta salads, fresh goat cheese, or antipasti.

Since 1723, the Hammel & Cie winery in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße has been one of the reliable addresses in the Palatinate – today, Christoph Hammel is already running the business in the ninth generation. You can feel almost three centuries of family tradition in every bottle: this is not about short-term trends, but about consistency that has grown over generations.
On 42 hectares around the historic village center of Kirchheim, Riesling, Burgundy varieties, Sauvignon Blanc, and now also Grüner Veltliner grow – and in one of the mildest climate regions in Germany. This special warmth, combined with the diverse soils of the Palatinate, gives the grapes a ripeness that you can taste in the end in the glass. In the vineyard, the family sticks to proven traditions; in the cellar, they consciously rely on the targeted use of steel and wood to give each grape variety exactly the framework it needs.
The result is wines with a clear signature and aromatic fruit that deliver exactly what the family itself formulates as its leitmotif: to bring joy. Whether for an uncomplicated evening or a special occasion – at Hammel & Cie you will find wines that combine tradition and Palatinate joie de vivre in a completely natural way.
