Hammel & Cie Literweise Cuvée Rosé dry 1.0L

A rosé for everyday use that doesn't need many words – fresh, fruity and in a practical liter bottle for social gatherings.

Hammel & Cie is one of the Palatinate's most traditional wineries, cultivating grapes for generations on the region's fertile loess soil. Their "Literweise" (liter by the liter) line is the honest answer to everyday wine needs: expertly crafted, unpretentious, and with a clear focus on pure drinking pleasure. The Cuvée Rosé blends red grape varieties from their own Palatinate vineyards – vinified for freshness, not quantity.

A bright salmon pink shines in the glass. The nose opens with aromas of sour cherry, red currant, and a distinct hint of raspberry – all clearly defined, without excessive sweetness. On the palate, the wine is juicy and direct: lively acidity, light to medium body, and no cloying residual sweetness. The finish is clean and short, with a gentle touch of red fruit. Exactly what an uncomplicated summer rosé should be.

Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. The liter bottle is the practical choice for barbecues, picnics, and outdoor gatherings. Pairs well with grilled vegetables, light pasta salads, fresh goat cheese, or antipasti. Drinking window: now until the end of 2026 – this rosé is best when young and fresh.

Hammel & Cie Winery

Since 1723, the Hammel & Cie winery in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße has been one of the most trusted names in the Palatinate region – today, Christoph Hammel runs the estate in the ninth generation. On 42 hectares surrounding the historic village center of Kirchheim, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and now also Grüner Veltliner grapes thrive in one of Germany's mildest climate regions. In the vineyard, the Hammel family adheres to time-honored traditions, while in the cellar, they focus on the judicious use of steel and oak. The result is wines with a distinct character, aromatic fruit, and a guiding principle that the family themselves describe as: bringing joy.
