Hammel & Cie Heart of Gold Blanc de Noir

Hammel & Cie Heart of Gold Blanc de Noir
A Blanc de Noir that shows what happens when St. Laurent and Pinot Noir are vinified together: a bright, almost colorless white wine profile, but with an aroma that clearly speaks of red grapes.
Hammel & Cie winery is one of the established names in the Palatinate – one of Germany's most vine-rich and sunniest wine regions. The name "Heart of Gold" stands for an approachable, characterful vinification, in which the pressing is so gentle that hardly any color from the grape skins passes into the must.
On the nose, the wine opens with grapefruit and a hint of watermelon, along with a delicate strawberry note and subtle almond blossom. White pepper adds spice and depth to the bouquet. On the palate, it is refreshing, with invigorating acidity, fine fruit, and a long, slightly mineral finish.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with salmon tartare, grilled goat cheese, light pasta dishes with lemon butter, or simply enjoyed on its own as an uncomplicated summer evening wine. Drink now – not suitable for aging.
