Dos Maderas Atlantic

Dos Maderas Atlantic is a rum that takes its journey literally: before receiving its finishing touch in Jerez de la Frontera, it crosses the Atlantic in casks – following the sea route once taken by sherry and rum between the Caribbean and Andalusia.

Williams & Humbert, a traditional sherry bodega from Jerez, is responsible for the blend of Caribbean rums (Barbados, partly Guyana), which are first aged in ex-bourbon casks and then matured in the bodega's own Oloroso and PX sherry casks. This double cask aging gives the series its name: Dos Maderas, "two woods".

In the glass, the rum appears amber-colored, with notes of caramel, dried dates, and a hint of raisins from the sherry cask, underpinned by vanilla and light spice. Soft on the palate, with an oily texture and a long, sweet-nutty finish.

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a large ice cube to slowly unfold the cask notes – a digestif for a quiet evening after a meal.

The characteristic combination of Atlantic climate, Albariza chalk soils, and decades of barrel aging makes every sip a piece of Jerez history.
