Danube Riesling

The Donauriesling from Winzer Krems gets straight to the point of what the Wachau and Kremstal have stood for for centuries: Riesling that carries the minerality of its origin directly into the glass. Vinified dry, with the clear structure that defines the Danube valley.

Winzer Krems is one of Austria's most significant cooperatives, founded in 1938 and today covering around 900 hectares of vineyards along the Danube. The sites around Krems are among the classic Riesling terroirs of Lower Austria — loess soils alternate with weathered primary rock, and the continental climate ensures distinct temperature differences between day and night.

In the glass, the Donauriesling shows aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and a hint of green herbs. The acidity is lively without appearing sharp, the finish is dry and accompanied by a fine mineral note.

Served well-chilled at 8–10 °C, it pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, pan-fried zander, or fresh goat cheese. It also makes a great impression as an uncomplicated companion for an evening with friends.
