Condrieu Cru Clos Boucher AC 0.75L

Condrieu Cru Clos Boucher AC 0.75L
Condrieu is one of France's most fascinating white wine appellations — and the Clos Boucher from Delas Frères shows why. The plot faces south in the heart of the Condrieu AC, planted exclusively with Viognier, the grape variety that truly develops its aromatic depth on the steep granite slopes of the northern Rhône Valley.
Delas Frères is one of the Rhône's most traditional négociant houses, founded in Tournon in 1835. Clos Boucher is a Vin Parcellaire—not a blend, but a character study of a single vineyard. In the glass, it displays a pale gold color with a fine sheen. The bouquet opens with apricot, white peach, and a hint of orange blossom, typical of mature Viognier from the appellation. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a richness characteristic of Condrieu, balanced by a lively acidity. The finish is long and slightly spicy.
Best served at 12–14 °C . Pairs well with lobster bisque, fried monkfish with saffron sauce, or mild blue cheese. Drink it young for its full fruitiness; it develops additional complexity with two to four years of aging.
