Molin Lugana Superiore DOP
Cà Maiol's Molin shows what Lugana Superiore can do: not a light summer wine, but a white wine with real structure and aging potential.
Cà Maiol is one of the most renowned wineries on Lake Garda and cultivates exclusively Turbiana on the lake's southern shore – the local grape variety that gives Lugana its distinctive character. The Superiore category requires at least one year of aging before release, which lends the wine additional depth.
In the glass, the Molin displays ripe quince and yellow peach, along with a hint of almond blossom and a mineral undertone reminiscent of fine limestone. The acidity is present but integrated – the finish is long and slightly salty.
