Molin Lugana Superiore DOP
The Molin from Cà Maiol shows what Lugana Superiore can do: not a light summer wine, but a white wine with real structure and aging potential.
Cà Maiol is one of the most famous wineries on Lake Garda and grows exclusively Turbiana on the south side of the lake – the local grape variety that gives Lugana its unmistakable character. The Superiore category requires at least one year of aging before release, which gives the wine additional depth.
In the glass, the Molin shows ripe quince and yellow peach, plus a hint of almond blossom and a mineral undertone reminiscent of fine limestone. The acidity is present but integrated – the finish remains long and slightly salty.
- Food: Risotto al limone, grilled zander, saltimbocca, or creamy goat cheese

Cà Maiol is an Italian winery founded in 1967 by Walter Contato. The family business is now run by the second generation, Fabio and Patrizia Contato. Located at the southern end of Lake Garda, the winery owns approximately 140 hectares of vineyards with calcareous clay soils. Thanks to its proximity to Lake Garda, the region also enjoys a very mild climate. Among the grape varieties cultivated are Trbbiano di Lugano, Marzemino, Gropello, and Sangiovese.
