Pinot Noir dry "Tschuppen"
Hanspeter Ziereisen 's Blauer Spätburgunder "Tschuppen" is a terroir-driven Pinot Noir from the Markgräflerland region of Baden – one of Germany's most exciting Pinot Noir producers. The vines grow on Jurassic limestone with a loess topsoil , are completely destemmed, spontaneously fermented, and aged for approximately 23 months exclusively in used barriques.
In the glass, it displays a clear, luminous ruby red. The nose unfolds aromas of ripe sour cherry, raspberry, red currants , along with delicate floral notes, forest floor spice, and a hint of pepper. On the palate, it is precise, juicy, and profound, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, a mineral foundation, and a long, slightly peppery and herbal finish with nutty notes.
Unfiltered, natural and served at 16–18 °C with 13.0% ABV , it accompanies game dishes, lamb chops, mature cheeses or simply a relaxed evening – a Burgundy wine with soul, excitement and great aging potential until 2033 .
