Bickel-Stumpf Crémant "Francophile de la Chapelle`"
A Crémant with a clear stance: tart, precise, with a depth that one doesn't always expect from Franconia.
Bickel-Stumpf from Thüngersheim am Main is one of Franconia's most reliable wineries. The estate emphasizes the region's unique character – also in its sparkling wines. The name "Francophile" says it all: the production method is inspired by Champagne, based on traditional bottle fermentation with extended lees contact.
On the nose, cool herbs, Granny Smith apple, and candied citrus peel, along with a subtle hint of biscuit. On the palate, the Crémant displays substance: firm body, lively acidity, and fine bubbles. The lees note persists throughout – from the mid-palate to the long, dry finish with ripe stone fruit and a touch of brioche.
Serving temperature: 7–9 °C. Enjoy as an aperitif, with goat cheese, pan-fried salmon trout, or a classic tarte flambée with crème fraîche.
