Grand Cuvée 1531 de Aimery Crémant Rosé Brut de Limoux – Sieur d'Arques (France, Languedoc)
Limoux is considered the oldest sparkling wine region in France and is located about 25 kilometers south of Carcassonne. The Sieur d'Arques cooperative produces this cuvée with a high proportion of Pinot Noir. A short maceration time before pressing gives it its salmon-pink color with brilliant reflections. The nose reveals white flowers, ripe peach, and a hint of fresh cherry. On the palate, the Pinot Noir provides texture and red fruit, the perlage is fine and persistent, and the finish is round without any harshness. It received a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole Paris 2016.
Because all three bottles are identical, you can use them strategically: one to start with, one for a direct comparison with another sparkling wine, one to give away, or for the next occasion. Serve the Crémant well chilled at 6–8 °C.
Pairs well with: Salmon tartare, smoked salmon on blinis, shrimp, mild fresh goat cheese, or a plate of summer fruits like strawberries and peaches. It also works very well solo as an aperitif.
Three bottles at a special price: This way, you get your Crémant Rosé for less than when buying individual bottles. Ideal as a supply for parties, as a small gift, or as an uncomplicated discovery of the Limoux sparkling wine region.
