Bernard Pawis Winery

Bernard Pawis took over his father's winery in 1998 and built a modern winery in Freyburg a year later. The vineyard area grew to 12 hectares, and in 2001 the winery was accepted into the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates). A clear sign of quality. After eight years, the family moved again: to the historic Zscheiplitz estate. In just a year and a half, the old horse stable (built in 1862) was transformed into a new winery and a unique setting for wine tastings. Since 2007, the old winemaking tradition of Zscheiplitz Monastery has been revived here. Unstrut wines with a story.
