Pawi's Müller-Thurgau dry

A Müller-Thurgau that shows what the grape variety can do when it is not hindered on the good soils of the Saale-Unstrut region: aromatically charged, fresh and yet surprisingly precise.

The Bernard Pawis winery in Freyburg on the Unstrut River is one of the most reliable wineries in Germany's northernmost wine region. On limestone and sandstone soils, they produce wines with a clear structure – far removed from the soft, generic style that long tarnished Müller-Thurgau's reputation.

On the nose, the wine opens with passion fruit, ripe apricot, and a hint of peach—complemented by a delicate mint note that adds freshness. On the palate, it is delicately juicy, with an elegant body and a firm acidity that makes it easy to drink without being harsh. The finish is clean and straightforward.
