The Caves Vilarnau winery was founded in 2005 by the Andalusian group González Byass to expand its wine portfolio with high-quality Cava. Salvatore Adducci was commissioned to design the labels. Approximately two bottles of Cava are produced annually. Caves Vilarnau explicitly promotes wine tourism and offers a variety of wine events: from Cava tastings and Cava therapy to hikes, bike rides, and helicopter/hot air balloon tours through/over the vineyards, with accommodation available at the company's own hotel. In addition, in-house art exhibitions are offered to showcase the symbiosis between wine and art.

Caves Vilarnau —
Cava from the heart of Catalonia

Caves Vilarnau was launched in 2005 by the renowned Andalusian group Gonzáles Byass — with the clear goal of expanding the house's wine range with artisanally produced Cava. The winery is located in the heart of Catalonia, in the middle of the classic Cava growing areas, and combines Iberian cellar tradition with a modern understanding of sparkling wine culture.

At first glance, it is noticeable that Vilarnau sees wine and art as belonging together: The artist Salvatore Adducci designed the labels of the bottles — each line an independent work that reflects the character of the respective Cava. This connection between craftsmanship and design ambition runs through the entire house, which also hosts its own art exhibitions in the winery.

Anyone looking for more than a bottle will find a complete experience at Vilarnau: wine tours through the vineyards — on foot, by bicycle, or from a hot air balloon — as well as tastings and a company-owned hotel make the winery one of the most lively wineries in Catalonia. In the glass, you can expect a Cava that goes well with tapas, light fish, or a relaxed aperitivo.
