Weedenborn Pinot Blanc

Weedenborn Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc from Rheinhessen that shows what the grape variety can do: not a simple base wine, but a glass with depth, texture, and a finish that lasts longer than expected.
The Weingut Weedenborn is located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim in Rheinhessen — one of the warmest and driest sites in Germany. Limestone weathered soils shape the style of the wines: mineral, full-bodied, with a natural freshness that is preserved despite the heat.
In the glass, ripe Cox Orange apple notes dominate, complemented by pineapple and a hint of herbs. The palate is mellow, almost creamy — the result of a ripe harvest and careful aging. The acidity is mild but precise and gives the wine tension without sharpness. The finish shows a mineral note that makes the wine seem leaner than its weight would suggest.
- Food: Veal schnitzel, pasta with cream sauce, tarte flambée, or mature Brie
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
