Weedenborn Pinot Blanc

Pinot Blanc from Rheinhessen, which shows what the grape variety can do: not a simple basic wine, but a glass with depth, texture and a finish that lasts longer than expected.

The Weedenborn winery is located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim in Rheinhessen — one of the warmest and driest regions in Germany. Weathered limestone soils shape the style of the wines: mineral, full-bodied, with a natural freshness that is retained despite the heat.

In the glass, ripe Cox's Orange Pippin apple notes dominate, complemented by pineapple and a hint of herbs. The palate is melting, almost creamy—the result of a ripe harvest and careful vinification. The acidity is mild yet precise, giving the wine vibrancy without harshness. A mineral note emerges in the finish, making the wine seem more elegant than its weight would suggest.
