Weedenborn Sauvignon Blanc Reserve

Weedenborn Sauvignon Blanc Reserve
A Sauvignon Blanc that shows what Rheinhessen is capable of: no loud gooseberry notes, but depth, spice and a long finish with substance.
The Weedenborn winery is located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim in Rheinhessen—a site with calcareous clay soil that imparts structure and minerality to white wines. The Réserve line stands for selective harvesting and aging with oak, which noticeably distinguishes the wine from fresh, entry-level wines.
In the glass, it reveals a creamy character: aromas of vanilla and toffee from barrel aging, underpinned by stone fruit, dried apple slices, and a hint of herbal spice. On the palate, it has a firm body with lively acidity, a slight astringency, and a salty minerality on the finish—the wine lingers and displays pastry-like notes in the finale.
- Dishes: Veal schnitzel with herb butter, grilled salmon, goat cheese or risotto with Parmesan
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Drinking window: Now until 2027
