Villa Poggio Salvi Annata Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Villa Poggio Salvi Annata Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
A classic Brunello from Montalcino: structured, rich in tannins, with the long finish for which this DOCG is world-renowned.
Villa Poggio Salvi is located in the heart of Montalcino, one of Italy's most prestigious wine-growing regions. The Annata – the "regular" vintage Brunello, as opposed to the Riserva – matures for at least 30 months in Slavonian oak before spending further months in the bottle. Sangiovese Grosso, known here as Brunello, displays its characteristic combination of power and finesse in this vineyard.
In the glass, a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose offers dried cherry, rose petals, and a hint of lavender, along with earthy notes of tobacco and leather that gain depth with aeration. On the palate, medium to full-bodied, with firm but ripe tannins and lively acidity – a structure built for longevity. The finish is long and spicy with a touch of dark berries.
