Villa Maria Private Am Pinot Noir Marlborough
Color: Deep red. Aroma: Typical Marlborough Pinot Noir bouquet with aromatic, ripe cherries and raspberries. Taste: Ripe fruit flavors on the palate as well, very complex with subtle spice; soft, fine-grained tannins give the wine its defined structure and early drinkability. The predominantly hand-harvested grapes are gently crushed and initially cold-macerated for 6 to 9 days to extract maximum color and aroma compounds. The wine is then fermented, pressed, and aged in barriques, where it undergoes a late malolactic fermentation the following spring. After a total of 12 months of barrel aging, the blend is created and bottled lightly filtered.
