Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Kabinett

A classic Mosel Riesling that brings everything the location is famous for: red Devonian slate, steep slopes, spicy depth.

The Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard is one of the special single vineyard sites of the Middle Moselle — named after the reddish-brown volcanic rock that gives the Riesling its characteristic spiciness and minerality. Villa Huesgen has cultivated its vineyards in Ürzig for generations and is one of the most traditional wineries in the Moselle Valley.

In the glass, this Kabinett displays aromas of preserved mirabelle plum and ripe pear, along with a hint of pineapple and delicate floral notes. A subtle minerality, typical of the red slate soil of the vineyard, lingers in the background. On the palate, it is delicately juicy with lively acidity, a subtle fruit sweetness, and a slightly bitter note that provides structure. The finish is fresh and playful without becoming heavy.

Villa Huesgen

Villa Huesgen embodies something that can still be truly felt on the Moselle: deep roots and a genuine passion for great Riesling. The Huesgen family has been making wine since 1735 – today in its eighth generation, led by Adolph Huesgen VIII.

At the heart of it all is the magnificent villa dating back to 1904, an Art Nouveau gem located right at the center of the vineyard. Here, history and the present merge into a philosophy that sees tradition not as a burden, but as a driving force. The wines are refined, modern, and unmistakably Moselle – made by happy people , as they say on the estate.
