The Cayega Roero Arneis displays a golden-yellow hue with greenish reflections. The nose reveals aromas of fresh pears and white peaches, complemented by mineral notes. The wine is beautifully balanced, possessing excellent complexity and structure, and boasts a long finish. The Cayega Roero Arneis is a superb representation of the Roero region's wine culture, making it a perfect white wine for a multitude of occasions. Food and Travel International 2020: Best Winemaker in Italy 2020 (award presented by Riccardo Cotarella, World Federation of Oenologists). James Suckling: 92 points for the 2021 vintage.

Tenuta Carretta

Tenuta Carretta is a winery steeped in history. Above all, it's a winery where people work together towards a common goal: producing high-quality wines. The winery is located in southern Piedmont, in Piobesi d'Alba in Roero. Its vineyards cover approximately 70 hectares and lie within the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine regions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name Carretta likely derives from an Albanian noblewoman who lived in the area in the 14th century and was probably the estate's first owner. However, the winery's history officially begins in 1467, when a lease agreement was signed for the purpose of cultivating grapes on the estate's land.
