Spiess Pinot Noir Estate Wine Dry

A typical Pinot Noir from Spiess – approachable, aromatically clear, and with the characteristic profile of the grape variety. If you're looking for an uncomplicated Pinot Noir for everyday enjoyment, this is the one for you.

The Spiess winery is one of the established producers in the Palatinate, where Pinot Noir reaches its varietal peak on sandy loess soils and in warm, sheltered locations. The estate wine represents the foundation of the range – vinified for easy drinking and approachability, not for aging.

On the nose, cherry, a hint of licorice, and a subtle juniper note – the classic aroma profile of Pinot Noir, presented without any detours. Light-bodied on the palate, with soft tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is short to medium-long, fruity, and dry.

Serving suggestion: Drink now, do not store. Serve at 15–17 °C. Pairs well with pasta with tomato sauce, baked salmon, grilled poultry, or a spicy lentil dish.

The Spiess winery in Bechtheim is renowned for its consistently high-quality wines. Brothers Burkhard and Jürgen Spiess are passionate about quality. Rigorous yield control, meticulous vineyard management, gentle processing, traditional methods, and state-of-the-art cellar technology result in full-bodied wines that are both pure and easy to drink. This dedication and passion for wine are rewarded year after year with numerous national and international awards. Above all, the Spiess family believes it's essential to bottle the wine exactly as it comes from the vineyard. This means that the foundation is laid in nature itself, requiring consistently excellent work in the estate's vineyard plots.
