Rondeur Appassimento

A seductive and slightly mysterious aroma wafts from the glass. A quick swirl, a whiff, and you're instantly transported to the south of France, to the vineyards of Domaine La Grange. Surrounded by the garrigue and the chirping of cicadas! The nose: Dark fruits, especially blackcurrants, blended with freshly chopped raisins and a hint of rosemary and thyme provide the perfect backdrop. Then, very subtly in the background, the peppery spice of the Syrah emerges, along with a delicate note from the skillful barrel aging: vanilla, a touch of tobacco, and milk chocolate. The palate: The combination of fruit, subtle sweetness, and spice continues playfully and, above all, impressively. The soft and fine tannins deserve special mention, giving the wine structure and encapsulating the lavish abundance of dark fruit. Plum, raspberry, and blueberry are enveloped in the spice of the garrigue. This wine truly showcases the potential of the old vines at La Grange. A wonderfully complex yet also incredibly approachable wine.
