Seductive and a little bit mysterious, it scents from the glass. A short swirl, a sniff, and you are standing directly in the south of France, in the vineyards of Domaine La Grange. Surrounded by the garrigue and the chirping of the cicadas!

The nose: Dark fruits and especially blackcurrants in a melange with freshly chopped raisins, a hint of rosemary & thyme serve as an accompaniment. Then, very finely in the background, the pepper spice of the Syrah comes into its own, as well as a fine note of the skillful barrique aging: vanilla, some tobacco, and milk chocolate.

The palate: The combination of fruit, subtle sweetness, and spice continues playfully and, above all, impressively. Above all, the soft and fine tannin should be mentioned here, which gives the wine backbone and captures the lavish abundance of dark fruit. Plum, raspberry, blueberry enveloped by the spice of the garrigue. Here, the site potential of old vines at La Grange simply shows itself. A wonderfully complex but also enormously accessible wine.
