La Grange Terroir Sauvignon Blanc

La Grange Terroir Sauvignon Blanc
A Sauvignon Blanc from the Languedoc that shows what Mediterranean soils can do to the grape variety: not soft pleasingness, but clear fruit with tension.
The La Grange winery is located in the Hérault, one of the oldest wine regions of the Languedoc. The Terroir line is created from yield-limited cultivation on calcareous soils – the result is an aroma and structure that one doesn't always expect here.
In the glass, aromas of citrus peel, melon, and a hint of gooseberry. On the palate, fresh and lively, supported by a mineral and herbaceous acidity that gives the wine a long and precise finish. Not a heavy, alcoholic southern French wine – rather cool and direct.
