Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Zinfandel
A juicy Zinfandel from California that brings the typical strengths of the grape variety directly to the glass: ripe red fruit, warmth, spice.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi is the high-volume line from Californian winemaker Robert Mondavi, produced in Lodi in the Central Valley – a region known for its warm, dry climate that brings out the best in Zinfandel grapes. The label represents uncomplicated, everyday wine enjoyment from one of America's most renowned wineries.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of sour cherry and blackberry, underpinned by cinnamon and black pepper – the classic spice profile of Zinfandel. The body is soft and rounded, the tannins velvety, the finish medium-long with a light vanilla note.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with grilled burgers, spare ribs with BBQ sauce , or spicy pasta dishes with tomato sauce and minced meat. Also a good, uncomplicated red wine for social evenings.
Robert Mondavi Winery embodies one of the most consequential ideas in modern wine history: that Napa Valley can compete with the world's great wine regions. Since its founding in 1966, the winery in Oakville, California, has worked toward precisely that goal – and proven it.
At its heart lies the legendary To Kalon Vineyard , one of North America's most prestigious vineyards. Here grows the Cabernet Sauvignon that made the estate famous: structured, age-worthy, with the unmistakable profile of Oakville soils.
