Riesling Juffer off-dry
The Juffer Off-Dry from Fritz Haag is a Riesling that takes the balance between fruit and tension seriously — off-dry not as a compromise, but as a stylistic device.
Fritz Haag is one of the most reliable addresses on the Middle Mosel. The winery in Brauneberg has been cultivating steep sites in the Brauneberger Juffer, one of Germany's most renowned Riesling sites, for generations. Blue slate and the steep southern exposure ensure intense minerality and an acid structure that gives Rieslings from this area their characteristic tension.
In the glass, the Juffer Off-Dry shows aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and a hint of apricot — underscored by a subtle slate note. On the palate, the residual sweetness carries the acidity without covering it up: the interplay remains lively, the finish salty-fresh.
