Riesling Juffer off-dry

Fritz Haag's Juffer feinherb is a Riesling that takes the balance between fruit and tension seriously — feinherb not as a compromise, but as a stylistic device.

Fritz Haag is one of the most reliable wineries on the Middle Moselle. For generations, the Brauneberg estate has cultivated steep slopes in the Brauneberger Juffer, one of Germany's most prestigious Riesling vineyards. Blue slate and the steep, south-facing slope impart intense minerality and an acidity structure that gives Rieslings from this region their characteristic vibrancy.

In the glass, the Juffer displays delicately tart aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and a hint of apricot—underpinned by a subtle slate note. On the palate, the residual sweetness supports the acidity without overpowering it: the interplay remains lively, the finish salty and fresh.
